May 08 M35A vs The Entrance , Result: 3 - 0 Win 2 in a row!!!! With more "players" than a seedy LA night club, anticipation of a strong performance had never been greater. We started brilliantly with Joey, Stevie Bell and Brad combining well to set up Shane as he smashed in his first for 2010. Not 5 mins later we had another as Mick dinked and weaved his way past all defenders to calmly slot in our 2nd. "Enter Rodgo" and the game moved up a notch, with our 3rd coming swiftly as he turned in a neat pass from "run all day Robie".
3-0 after 15 mins and the game was just about over.
With Marty asleep in goals we controlled the game perfectly but unfortunately missed dozens of chances as we tried to make up ground on our for and against. Good games to Kenny, Alby, Leon, Shirl and MacGyver and great to see another clean sheet.

May 01 M35A vs East Gosford , Result: 3 - 0 Win Wow!!! More goals than yellow cards. "You've changed Wisey"
Anxiety and desperation gripped the pre game talk and after much begging, bribery and a couple of sexual favors (sorry Mrs Danket) we convinced Wisey to play along side Alby at the back, and what a masterful move with the pair keeping a clean sheet for the first time in years. This set us up well and with the game poised early in the 2nd half at 0-0, Fluff decided to show his magic and latched onto a ball from Brad and banged it cleanly into the net. Confidence was now high and the 2nd was absolutely sublime as again Fluff slotted one in from a corner (a promise of "more to come" quickly came)
The game was now only going to end with one result and we had plenty of chances including Stevie Bell lumbering onto a couple of long balls only to stumble at the last moment. Never mind, our goal scoring machine Robie Lions stepped up to the challenge and scored our 3rd, with his maiden goal from an acute angle after being put through by rodgo. Good games to Fluff, Alby, Wisey and Robie and great to see the guys finally have a good WIN.

Apr 10 M35A vs Ourimbah , Result: 1 - 5 Loss Well after a grueling pre season of a few kicks and a few beers, we expected a reasonable showing against a team that started "pre-season" in late January. The early movement was in the ring B4 kick off, and the punters got it right as Rodgo shortened into $1.10 to get the most yellow cards in 2010. Shane definitely has some competition this year and has drifted out slightly to $1.50 (still good odds I reckon) by only picking one card in his first game back. The big mover however was "the changed man" Wisey, (MIA on Saturday, due to early Mardi Gras preparations)who drifting from $1.80 now out to $3.90.
The game began well with us trying to pass the ball round, but unfortunately as the legs tired (by the 10th minute)we struggled slightly to find our range and were down 1-0 early. This fired us up however and was quickly back to 1-1 as Shane, Joey and Rodgo started to combine well. I can't remember much after that as the lungs started to feel like lake munmorah power station but I'm pretty sure we had just as many chances on goal as them, played some very good (and bad) football at times, let in a couple of silly goals and enjoyed every moment of it. Oh yeah, congrats to Langers on the sidelines who picked up a few hundred as he had Rodgo to both Score and get sent off inside 60 minuets.
A welcome note to "Spunky" Rodgo, Alby, Duff, Harves and Fluff who have joined us in 2010 and a special mention to Kenny, Robbie, Joey and Shane for good games on the weekend.
PS. It was good to see ALL the boys turn up with plenty of exicetment and looking forward to 2010.
