| Aug 29 MAA6 vs Avoca , Result: 0 - 2 Loss MAD Game today everyone, one of our best. Perfect conditions and a very positive game today by all. Jake was replaced early by Joel in goal after a leg injury.Before Jake was replaced he tipped over the bar a cracker which anyone else would have let in. Nil all after 30 min then Joel had no hope from a lazy effort in our defence gave Avoca a 1 nil lead at half time, but we still felt we were in it. It was still 1 nil with 15 to go and only for a long range miss hit goal that was lucky to find the net to make it 2 nil at full time. Joel was on fire and had Avoca mesmerised with his goal keeping skills with at times 3 players trying to stir him up to throw him off gaurd. This was our best diciplined game today with no cards and only 1 or 2 penalties against us.At times we were outplayed but overall it was tight. Magic chops was a standout up the left even with a hangover never getting beaten all game.At times different players were sent over to deal with him but the same result was the big bull winning over and over again, they then tried the right but were equally in trouble with Craig, Lindsey J, Blake, Scrappy, and Lindsey c. Up front scrappy and Blake tried everything but were up against best defence in the comp.Scrappy was awesome on a mission to get as much ball as possible with Avoca no5 very tight with the ball he would give up. Choc and Craig were on fire showing commitment all game and have great combos going all game and getting many votes.Backs held tight most of the game with Lukey and Lindsey J having very strong games.Luke was at his best when a mirror was presented to him at half time to see his lovely hair. Bazza tried a few positions and is pumped for our next week semi.He was solid at the back middle and front, one of his best. Mick came into the attack and stirred things up having some mad plays with chops up the left. We were told all game by AVOCA we were bad, we were fat,we had only left feet,onlt right feet, we only had big kicks, we had no defence, we had no attack, we were crap....they were mostly correct but we were the best team out their and had fun with the fairest and friendliest game with 40 penalties to 1 .Lindsey c was at his devastating best saving my ass many times at the left back and was best on field with choppo. Neal and Stef will be back next week and some mad training moves predicted next week so bring on the semis!!!!p/player chops with rossi as runner up. |
| Aug 22 MAA6 vs Toukley-2 , Result: 0 - 1 Loss p/players was lukey welcome back with lindsay j second. This was our first loss since the start of the season which we now need to think positively about as we miss a few chances our self's, and also had three players missing.steeley had a very good game in backs, baz try his heart out in mids with both lindsays worked hard as well.Avoca next week we can do better. |
| Aug 15 MAA6 vs Southern Ettalong , Result: 1 - 0 Win We are now guarenteed a semi final spot even with 2 rounds to go.A must win game today, and that's the way it ended up through a great penalty strike from scrappy General, Blake was ready to take the kick but Scrappy stood up bravely never in doubt!A real team effort with best passing combos up front seen this year ,only stopped by a very good defence and top goalie effort from SEU.We have now only let one goal in since round 4,and that goal was a penalty in front against Avoca.Today saw some hairy moments in the back but great skill and luck kept another nil score.Stefan had his cameo performance today winding back the clock having a blinder only now to leave us again and return for semis, If I was coach I would bench him!Jake was great in support watching now he is out with injury. Choppo was strong like normal messing with minds like normal. Joel was a superstar in goals keeping a clean sheet AGAIN!Kyle was slippery setting up several chances deserving many points from team. This was the best disciplined game by far,no foul throw ins,very few penalties,no yellow cards today for whole team and more amazingly Neal got none, this was due to Jess watching with little Stephanie.Neal deserved the points today but 5 players could have got it,from now on Jess must come to all games! Ref did a great job with no touch judges again.Today we also saw the worlds slowest manager but he was well behaved too. Choc was solid all game never losing the ball once. Big Bazza arrived late ,that started a re-shuffle of positions that proved strong.He was awesome! The crowd was screaming for Bazza.We noticed no Luke and Lindsey C today but stepped up and knowone better than Lindsey J keeping backs on their toes.Blake was good too and should have got a card for a big tackle but ref let him off. He then was seen screaming at the Mariners game for 2 hrs!Next week at home against Toukley 2 should be a good game.With good forecast game will be on this weekend .seeya at training! p/player was a very close today Neal first by 2 then scraps by 4 then three other players as it was a team effort by the voting. | Aug 08 MAA6 vs Woongarrah , Result: 1 - 0 Win Another great ROOS performance with illness,injuries and lack of players winning a great game 1 nil. With Luke, BAZZA and Stefan away it would be tough. Jake started in goals as Joel was late ,then when Joel wondered in he took over with 5 minutes of hairy stuff, shot apon shot ,one of them going over his head and just hitting the cross bar, again Joel was brilliant and since he started playing with us ,only 1 goal has been let in and that was a penalty. After that it was one way traffic for us. Jake started on fire up front but wished he stayed in goals after a calf muscle blew out after a vicious tackle and had to go off .Blake started strongly and was subbed after 15 min,Blake came on again up front second half and had two chances to score with Mick screaming at him.Not many chances on goal all game but Lindsey C took his chance from a penalty off to the side and way out of box and curled it into the top right corner to go in untouched.In the context of the game and position on the ladder this may be the goal of the season. With a travelling game it was good to see a good following from our supporters with scrappy general's girl friend their making it only one person to watch.Not much to see as Scrappy squandered several channces,but was unlucky not to get a penalty in last minute in the box.The defenders gave him nothing to score with all game but again was one of best on field, once he had 3 chances to cross in one play but no one was in middle so he seemed to hog for minutes then crossed a ripper to Coach Mick who had a MAD attempt but missed. With a call from Mick before the game to have no yellow cards, we must not have listened as 4 were given to us. Joel, Chops,Neal, and Scrapps and one to Stuart on the sideline.Chops was giving speech lessons to oppostion stirring up like normal,captaincy has gone to his big head but he was best on field until he missed a goal 2 feet from goal on his preferred left foot and no goalie,but at his age this is expected,his sponsership with Jenny Craig could be in jeopardy.Chops up the left has been amazing this year,today he beat all that came at him until the last minute he got beaten and the two guys that beat him said " He's so predictable" that was after 79 minutes they figured out the Fat controller.Craig gained many points today with his best game of the season never giving up and not losing one possession showing Woongarah our secret weapon for the finals. Lindsey J was inspirational in the back coordinating the backs to again keep a clean sheet. Choc was mighty in attack and teamed up with Scrappy general several times. Spewy Neal tried hard fighting off food poisoning and played great when on but again he pushed the refs buttons lucky not to be sent off.Mick the master coach inserted himself and played his best game of the season often running like a teenager and nicely showing us how not to do throw ins. A wins a win, and this will help.All the good teams won today so this win was more important. Next week at Kincumber vs a tough SUE 9am. We need all at training wednesday with only 3 games to go. THE END...players player was chops by a country mile and runners up lindsay c and stuart did not get a yellow all most sent to the car park yes but no yellow good try ross. | Jul 25 MAA6 vs Wyoming , Result: 2 - 2 Draw Another great call from CCF wiping all results because the bottom 2 teams did not play today who have no baring on final results. So after all giving up family commitments and suffering several injuries for nothing we will look at closed grounds now more closely before games. Anyway a clean sheet today from us having only one goal scored against us in last 5 games. Defence was near perfect again today with a great game also by Jake in goals all game with Joel away today. Neal had his best game of the year keeping his cool all day when many times he should have spat it, bruised shins to prove he was probably best on field. Andrew Choc came out of the blocks with many defiant runs showing commitment and we all followed.Big bad Bazza struck first with a great corner again untouched to lead 1 nil at half time. All the play for 80 minutes was with us and score could have been 6 nil. Captain Chops had a blinder in first 30 minutes never getting beaten once all game.Scraps had another strong game unlucky not to score a couple of times. Without Lindsey c. Lindsey stepped up and went close to goal and set up several. At half team we were wondering how it was only one nil but confidence was improving.Stefan was injured but battled on having his best game of the year till the end.Yelow cards were coming for Wyoming matching nicely to their shirts.Luke was quite sociable in defence but got focused from a geed up Captain chops to again save us many times then set up Fat Bastard Chops to cross and Matt to score a ripper. Matt then won an accademy award for a fall in Box which Blake stepped up and nicely slotted it in to the left of goalie to take a 3 nil lead.Blake also had 2 chances on goal in first half which ultimatley got him players player today.Game got a bit rough in last 10 minutes but we held on for a much deserved win. Team pride from Mick Coach is clearly showing with no negative attitude on field ever with a stirring pre game speech helping, Mick than came on for a solid 20 minutes sparking us up. If result did count we were looking good with AVOCA 35, TOUKLEY1 30, KIN 30, TOUKLEY2 26, WYOMING 26,WOONGARAH 24, KANWAL 23, SEU 19, TUGGERAH 17, TERR 15 but instead we have pre game position.Big game next week against Tuggerah, see you then.Sorry boy's game classed as a wash out go to ccf to check ladder. p/players was blake with andrew t as runner up. |
| Jul 18 MAA6 vs Kanwal , Result: 0 - 0 Draw Tough game today guys with all trying their best.Joel had a blinder in goals again saving us from a loss.Messi Steffi tried hard but it wasn't good enough for this level, again he got fowled on throw ins but that's what you get when your hung over. Again players on the left were left watching while the right had all the fun. Joel had at least 8 solid strikes on goal at him in 1st half alone that were saved, plus his mammoth goal kicks and penalties had Kanwal wondering how they would score. Difference in the end was the loss of Neal today not playing after being suspended but at least he didn't get a yellow card this week.Mick injected himself into the game for 2nd half and had immediate MAD impact frustrating the Kanwal defence with his yelling.Even a pre game speech from the heart coudn't win this won, memories of boxing at the beach to Madonna for training had us side tracked it seemed. A couple of firery verbal spats between Lindsey C, chops and Kanwal team kept the ref busy with yellow cards. The Fat controller chops ran out his cork and with his 5 second half touches could not score.Luke was absolutley brilliant in defence getting points from most, amazing stuff for his limited skills. Andrew choc,Craig and Kyle played solid up the right all game but few chances on goals today perhaps none in the 2nd half from both teams.Kanwal defence kept Lindsey and Michael scrappy general under conrtol in 2nd half but both should have scored in first, best chance being from Captain Lindsey C in 1st half.Like the Bulldogs game today the ref was against us and on the low life roosters! Jake and Blake had limited chances with time on field but both had chances to score.Big bad Bazza gave 100% but it just didn't happen the way he planned.Even though a draw was dissapointing Kanwal did play well and their goalie was the difference. A must win game next week at home against Wyoming 25th July 11am p/p this week is lindsay crawford with only a couple votes dif from joel mills |
| Jul 04 MAA6 vs Terrigal , Result: 1 - 0 Win The Fat Controller chops came straight from hospital after doctor said it was medically irresponsible to play soccer in his condition but he was determined to help team.Some say it would have been better if he stayed away but he did do one good cross. Kyle was dynamic setting up several plays to forwards.Stefan had his best game of the season with most action on the right while backs on the left got a chill but again he got fouled throwing in then went down with a Mel Gibson performance.Two Lindseys both were standouts in a strange game that saw few chances from both teams. Terrigal playing like a top 2 team at times.Neal got a rare yellow card from the ref who had had enough language, Neals father would have been dissapointed. Joel saved us in goals the first half until having his first run on the field ,then quickly scoring a great goal in 2nd half to give lead but ref was influenced by Terrigal players to call it offside.A draw looked likely result until one of the goals of the season from Scrappy General Michael heading in with minutes to go.Andrew choc played well copping a big hit in the guts.Barry and Kyle battled on ,with 3 games in one weekend from Barry finally catching up with him. Jake and Craig were used well on bench from a stressed coach. Not many calls went our way but it was our best ref game this year.Great to have solid Luke at the back again injury free and getting votes from many today, but once he went in goal for 2nd half,confidence dropped in the team so we made sure Terrigal got no shots on goal. | Jun 20 MAA6 vs Avoca , Result: 1 - 1 Draw Great game today up against undefeated Avoca.Top game by all.Several injuries early to scrappy General and Luke made us dig deep.Scraps was a big loss and Luke was a minor loss but some say a bonus. Subs came on and took control. Joel playing finally his first game after all those washouts and had a blinder getting most votes, channel 9 were kind enough to give him a day off from Getaway. After some dodgy defence(me) Joel gave away penalty (doubtful)and we were 1 down.Michael scrapps came back on and got a penalty in front to make 1 all. Stefan had some great plays with some great throw ins. Lindsey in defence kept the defence together securing a good draw. Craig owned the right with Kyle and nearly won the game at end but Jake on the ground got his head in the way.Blake came on in 2nd half and had impact straight away. Andrew and Lindsey up front worked well but up against Avoca no.5 had no match. Avoca goalie and defender were the difference. Choppo did his thigh after a delicate touch that a 2 year old would not have felt but some how got points off a lot of people. Bazza and Neil were solid getting plenty of attention from Avoca to control them. Right down to the last seconds 2 chances went begging like world cup Aussies but a draw was good.Next week Toukley if weather good. Players player for today is L. Crawford and runner's up is B. Hunt well done. |

| May 16 MAA6 vs Tuggerah , Result: 3 - 0 Win As requested by team here is each weeks players player up til today. 11-4-10 was Neal with Barry & Chops tied runner's up 18-4-10 was Neal with Chops runner's up 02-5-10 was Chops with Luke runner,s up 09-5-10 was Scrap's with Lindsay C runner's up 16-5-10 was Scrap's with Kyle runner's up......... Tough game again today, nil all at half time, anyones game. 9am start proved hard for some.Neal & Chops had question marks over fitness from night before.Only one card this week to Neal and a green and yellow face kept him quiet.Again an injured Luke was the hero with a great game in goals and a clean sheet.We won't mention his 10m goal kick,,10m throw and air swing clearance that Lindsey saved.Don't give up your day job Luke(Just joking,great game) Stefan and Kyle had their best games of the year & Stefan had some great throw ins. Blake also had his best game of year and got a lot of votes, Jake was on fire until injured and Michael had great tussell with goalie finally winning battle with 2 late goals and also going off with a late injury (or was he checking on his car) Kyle & Bazza were probably best on field all day taking control of the middle .Lindsey mid and Lindsey right back saved the day 20 times.Overall a good result.3rd on table now and 10 pts with Joel to start in goals next game..Some subs next game would be handy.Good to hear Roos song agin Mick.... |
| May 09 MAA6 vs Wyoming , Result: 3 - 2 Win GREAT WIN against unbeaten Wyoming.Sportsbet has us at 30 to 1 before game to win as 11 players only to start then losing Blake early made it 10.With stefan at home watching tv and a bbq it was up to an injured Luke that came to watch ending up playing in goals and saved the day with a blinder.Being in goals seemed to suit his style of play with no running around. Neal was green from night before but fired up not to spew too early and had only one card which he predicted 5 minutes before.The kitty was boosted by 3 yellow cards,all claimed to be innocent,chops had 5 infringements in one penalty but only one card could be given then his hammy snapped again,Jake had a game to remember with turns & spins all day and only one card(COULD HAVE BEEN 3).The crowd was building as word spread about this Roos side in town,several people thought we were premier league.Lindsey at the back had the girls screaming with solid defence all day. Second half heroics from Bazza was the differnce in the end with a glorious 5 metre corner to score untouched to take lead to 3-2.Mick and Stewart deserved 3 points each with their screaming positive comments from the side line which could be heard by all on this small field. Andrew was unstopable up the right at all the right times.Lindsey never stopped up the middle controlling the whole game which lead to several goal chances rewarding Michael with 2 great goals first one to put us in lead 1 nil then the second to bring back level 2 all. Great game by all today with game played in hot conditions again and no subs but played in good spirit by both teams,wyoming played really well.Early 9am game next week so be good the night before guys...(NEAL & CHOPS) Have to be at the oval by 8am to put up the nets other items thank you Stuart |
| May 02 MAA6 vs Kanwal , Result: 4 - 1 Win 30 deg and too HOT..Great game today,a real team effort without Messi Neal..Mick & Stuart had us pumped early with no win don't turn up next week. 2 great training sessions really showed today.A goal in first 2 minutes and next 10 min possession looked like easy day but Kanwal came back hard. Stefan than had his first touch in goals and got ball out of back of net,Chops then started getting Kanwal fired up. Blake came on an made impact straight away with a solo passage thru middle.Luke Craig and Kyle were solid at back early,but than we lost Luke to a scratch on the back.Second half saw a hero in Jake who wound back the clock again and kept a clean sheet(penalty in front).Twinkle toes Stefan came out of goals and froze in front of goals and bombed a 1000 chances.Lindsey and Michael scored a few and Michael slotting a top penalty. Other Lindsey in the mid was one of best on feild all game.Bazza scored a great goal to then return to backs 2nd half and play key role in no 2nd half goals.Great to get first win and keep it going.Good to hear team song...next week Wyoming 12.45pm at wyoming be there 12.00 |
| Apr 19 MAA6 vs Terrigal , Result: 3 - 3 Draw this was our first point for the year and was very entertaining game. we also have a contender for goal of the year scored by neal. chops had a blinder in the the first half and the mid field all having good games. as well as this both lindsay's had strong game very well done lets go for a win. |
