Jul 24 U10B vs Killarney Vale , Result: 0 - 4 Loss Well, we lost today, but not for lack of trying and great play. Everyone played in their positions really well. They attacked the ball and there was some wonderful defense. It looks like the team is regaining the confidence and attacking play that they showed earlier in the season. Great work 10B's. Great to see that you keep on fighting till the very end. Lets keep playing like this and a win will come our way again soon we are sure. Congradulations to Toby for earning man-of-the-match today for his great passing and great defense. Also congradulations to Tom for really stepping up as Captain and showing some great leadership skills out there on the field. Well done everyone! |
Jun 12 U10B vs Woy Woy , Result: 0 - 3 Loss Well, our first game as the U10B's and in 3 weeks since the great WET interfered with all our games. Not our finest hour. Though it was tough with 3 of our team away and also the coach on holidays. But a BIG thanks to Ryan, Levi and Matthew, from the U9A's, for coming and helping us out. A great effort, especially given that it was their first game on the full-size oval and playing against a tough team. Thank you boys (and their Dad's).
Back to our game, some work and some hard training to come to get us back into our pre-B's form. But we know we can do it and look forward to some very challenging, exciting and nail-biting games to come. Let's hear it for the sun and hope it hangs around for the rest of the season!! |
May 15 U10B vs Doyalson 10c , Result: 1 - 4 Loss Well, a reality check for the team today. We started out well, putting up some great opposition to a fierce fight from Doyalson,in the first half. Jack made some great saves down at our goal to keep the score 0-0 at half time. The whole team defended well, Toby in particular showed off some great ball skills and some great kicking to put the ball back in our half. Zac, Tyrone, Liam and Tom all played well passing to each other and attacking the ball. We went back out in the second half and Doyalson came back fighting. We defended well, and Jack made some wonderful saves, but Doyalson scored the first goal of the game, and we all held our breath. Then Daniel took possession of the ball at the half way mark, and ran it down to our goal, leaving the Doyalson players trying to keep up, and scored a beautiful goal from in front. This evened the score to 1 all. But, unfortunately, Doyalson attacked even harder, and thanks to some great defense from Daniel and Will (and others) and some great goalie work by Jack, they only scored 3 more goals from about 10 determined attempts. The game finished at 1 - 4 Doyalson's way. At the team talk Dave reminded the boys that they need to defend our corners and throw-ins as they have been practising at training, and to remember that even when the opposing team scores, we hold our heads up, continue to support and encourage each other, and keep to our game plan until the whistle is blown! So some things to work on at training this week. But heads up, it was an exciting game to watch. Jack earned Man-of-the-Match for some heart-stopping saves. Well done Jack! We look forward to next weeks game. |
May 09 U10B vs Budgewoi U10 , Result: 3 - 0 Win Happy Mother's Day to all our lovely Mums. Our reward was a double header this week. But the boys were all OK with that!. Everyone was fired up for another win today and we were off to a great start with Tryone (11) charging down the middle and scoring our first goal of the day in about the 10th minute. Great work Tyrone!!! (One for Mum)
Again everyone worked hard attacking and defending. Peter ran like a man possessed on the outside and had some great shots at goal, but Budgewoi's goalie was on the job and managed to keep them out. We led 1-0 at half time. It was a hot day out there, but the boys went out and played hard again in the second half. Then our second goal came again from Tyrone (11), he was really wanting to impress Mum and all the relatives who came to support him!!! Finally Peter's great persistance paid off and he scored our 3rd goal for the day!! Adam managed to split his lip, and then get a blow to the chest, but soldiered on and gave it his all. Another wonderful team effort. Jack saved some last minute Budgewoi shots at goal, from getting in. Great work Jack and great defense by the team to keep it away from our goal!!! Will was our Man-of-the-Match today for his great defense and passing. Great work Will!! Thank you again to Tate and his Dad, Mark, for coming to support the team. Get that arm healed soon Tate we need you back!!!
Hope everyone, including all the extended family members who came to watch, had a fun morning. |
May 08 U10B vs Terrigal U10 , Result: 4 - 0 Win We played our old rivals, Terrigal today. But WOW we managed to keep them scoreless and got 4 goals ourselves. Way to go Kincumber 10C's!
First goal of the day went to Peter (9) in the first half and then second was also scored in the first half by Steven (6). Lots of great passing and backing up of each other enabled these two goals to be scored. Again wonderful defense (Daniel,Toby,Will& Tom) from the back and attack in the middle (Adam, Liam and Steven) stopped Terrigal from being able to score in the first half. We kept up the attack (Zac, Peter and Tyrone) in the second half, and this was in spite of again having no reserves, and Peter went on to score his second goal of the game, followed by Daniel scoring the 4th and final goal for the day!! Again, a great Team effort with everyone playing in their positions so well. Zac was our Man-of-the-Match today for great kicking, passing, running and communication! Well done Zac! Great Win boys, well done all! |
May 01 U10B vs Gosford , Result: 2 - 3 Loss Well, this week was a week for injuries. Firstly off the field, with Tate breaking his arm over the long wk/end (and out for 3 months??) and Dave's littlest boy breaking his leg. We send our thoughts for a speedy and thorough recovery to them both. Our game today began so well, with every player attacking and defending as a team, again. Definitely one our greatest strenghts so far this year. Stephen (6) scored 2 goals for us in the first half also!! Way to go Stephen. Unfortunately, half way through the first half, Jack pulled a muscle when diving for a save in goals. The rest of the team defended valiantly though and no goals were scored by Gosford in the remaining first half. The second half was a harder one. With no reserves, and Jack not able to defend the goal so well, Gosford went on to score 3 goals and we had our first loss of the season. A great effort by all though, everyone fought to the death. Our player of the match today was Adam who was awarded this for staying in position well and running and passing well to team mates. Well done boys, here's to next week!!! Special thanks to Tate for coming and cheering on the team in spite of not being able to be on the field. Great team spirit! |
Apr 24 U10B vs Southern Ettalong , Result: 4 - 1 Win A great game! The first half was very evenly matched. Great defense by all our team!! Our first goal was scored by Tyrone (11) from a dot shot after a penalty was awarded to us after a hand ball from inside the box. Great work Tyrone, under a lot of pressure. The second goal of the first half, was also scored by Tyrone (11). Well done Tyrone!. Southern Ettalong put up some great attack and it was great defense by all our team that stopped them scoring in the first half. In the second half, after some great frustration Peter (9) was finally able to get a good shot at goal to score his first goal of the game. Again, Daniel, Toby, Will, Liam and Adam were wonderful in defense. Tate went like the wind on the wing and Steven had a great shot at goal, but unfortunately missed. Peter went on to score another goal in the 2nd half, bringing our score to 4, and Southern Ettalong scored one goal in the second half. Jack made 3 great saves. A really exciting game to watch, with Peter getting Man Of the Match. |
Apr 17 U10B vs East Gosford , Result: 5 - 0 Win Wow, what an exciting game! Both teams were 0 each at half time. An evenly matched tussel. Then, at half time, Dave, our coach, fired up our boys and out they went and scored 5 goals!! These were scored by: Peter (8) two, Tyrone (11) one, Toby (3) one and Daniel (2) one.
Everyone played well. Passing to each other, Daniel was especially great in defense and Tyrone had 3 great shots at goal. Peter scored two of our goals again!! All other players defended and attacked well. Jack, our goalie had some great saves. Well done all. A great game to watch! |
Apr 10 U10B vs Kariong , Result: 4 - 4 Draw We had a great start to the season. We led 3 to 1 at half time. Goals were scored by Steven (10), Liam (7), and Pete (8). Then in the second half Kariong fired up and scored 3 goals, but Pete (8) scored one for us also and led us to a draw. The team played well together, getting used to their new positions and trying to pay attention to staying on-side! Well done boys, and we all look forward to a fun and challenging year ahead. |
