Jul 24 U12A vs Woy Woy , Result: 2 - 1 Win A couple of positional changes saw Jamie move into a sweeper position to bolster the mid fild and Robert partnering with Tom in the centre to add speed up front. The two goals where scored on the back of solid defence and good football getting the ball to do the work with good passes resulting in several chances. With Zac and Tom being sucessful on two occasions. All in all there were many personal best performances for most of the players. This was a game you could all be proud of.Continue with this formuale and more success will follow.Well done to all the Players GREAT GAME to watch. |
Jul 04 U12A vs Bugewoi , Result: 2 - 4 Loss A couple of positional chances saw the front line of Zac and Tarran causing the Budgewoi defence many problems with their pace, Kincumber looked very settled on the ball and created chances frequently. A fine penalty save from the Budgewoi goalkeeper did not deter a determined Kincumber outfit who went ahead with a Jamie header (1st goal for ????????). The whole game ebbed and flowed producing goals and not until the final few minutes when Budgewoi scored their 4th could the result be predicted. Despite a fine finish from Tarran the final result was a 4-2 victory to Budgewoi. Congratulations to all the team on a great effort over the weekend.

Jul 03 U12A vs Sth Ettalong , Result: 0 - 2 Loss On a blustery day, no team got into any rhythm of play and chances were few and far between. Kincumber were matching up Sth Ettalong in all areas of the park and at times produced some fluent passing and movement. With the score 0-0 at half time the game was there for the taking. However, within minutes of the start of the second half Sth Ettalong were awarded a penalty which was gratefully put away. With Kincumber now chasing the game looking for the equaliser a break-away resulted in a second for the home team. Once again so close, yet so far from collecting points. |
Jun 26 U12A vs Terrigal , Result: 0 - 1 Loss A tough match to get back into action after the recent wet weather and thank you to those people who made the game possible to go ahead despite the pitch being very heavy.
With the spirit high and the team eager to perform it was a blow to be one down within two minutes. To the teams credit they put this behind them and played consistently well throughout the game carving out some half chances but unfortunately were not able to capitalise on these. A 1-0 loss but heads can be held high.

May 15 U12A vs Gosford , Result: 1 - 1 Draw Match report to come. |
May 08 U12A vs Woy Woy , Result: 1 - 3 Loss With the season in full swing and the sun shining for once during a football season, all eyes turned to the match against Woy Woy at Frost Reserve.
Both teams started well and produced some attractive football in the early periods of the game which resulted in a fine finish to produce the 1st goal for Woy Woy.
As the 1st half ticked away both teams looked to gain the imitative but as Kincumber seek to draw level a lapse in communication and concentration led to a second goal being conceded. On the stroke of half time a skilful piece of play from Issac resulted in a penalty being awarded as the Woy Woy defence failed to cope with his tricky attach. Tom Webb calmly ensured the resulting spot kick was despatched with some aplomb.
Half time and despite being 2-1 down the team anticipated a strong 2nd half and duly delivered. Unfortunately despite having the majority of possession they could not conjure up the much needed goal and Woy Woy capitalised on this when on a rare sorter into the Kincumber half they scored a third goal. Credit to Kincumber who kept going but could not convert the chances that came there way. Congratulations to Woy Woy on going top of the table with this win.
To the Kincumber team keep displaying this kind of football and self-belief and the results will come. MARK

May 01 U12A vs Ourimbah , Result: 0 - 1 Loss With a week off the team was keen and eager to take up the challenge in meeting a strong Ourimbah side. As the first half progressed the defence was matching up well to the fast forward line and chances were few and far between. Unfortunately with a few seconds remaining in the half, Ourimbah were awarded a corner and with a lapse in concentration they went into the break 1-0 up.
Kincumber rallied strongly in the second half and the team displayed strong character in taking the game up and were unlucky not to equalise. A great effort and many thanks to Paul and Rose for preparing the team in my absence. MARK

Apr 17 U12A vs Sth Ettalong , Result: 4 - 0 Win WOW, how a week can change the perceptions. The team trained well during the week and although a bit slow in waking up during the warm-up once the whistle blew they came out like champions. With a Southern Ettalong team containing several Thunder squad members it produced the best out of our team. With little to choose in the early periods of the game and both teams playing some good football a brilliant individual effort from J.B. produced the 1st goal for Kincumber. Minutes later Kincumber went 2-0 with some fine build up play ending in Tarran delivering a fine chip which sailed over the keeper. Confidence was now starting to show and doubts where being expelled over whether the players could compete in the "A" division. Despite consistent pressure from Ettalong, some fine resolute defending from everyone resulted in a 2-0 half time score. Kincumber came out for the second half relaxed and in control of the game and continued to work hard. Ryan capitalised from his strong running when he made it 3-0 which all but guaranteed the points before Shivonne put the icing on the cake with a well-taken goal when put through from a free-kick.
Well done to all Players. MARK

Apr 10 U12A vs Terrigal , Result: 0 - 5 Loss Having to face one of the main contenders to win the League for our 1st game of the season was always going to be a big ask. Despite a rain affected training period and no trial game to prepare for our visit to Terrigal the team performed to their best. The 5-0 lose to a very good Terrigal team was not to be unexpected and credit to everyone that they never gave up during the 50 minutes. Special thanks to Kev Robertson and Calvin Beacroft for making the journey from the Peninsula to not only back up from their game which finished only an hour earlier but also in putting in fine performances.
Hopefully weather permitting the team will have a strong week ahead of them on the training park and will enjoy the benefits on Saturday for our next game against Southern Ettalong. MARK |
