Jul 24 U13A vs Kariong , Result: 2 - 1 Win
It took a while for the Roos to wake up and get into the game today. Kariong took and early lead after we had spent the opening period of the game kicking the ball to them. Once we started to control possession we added two goals ourselves for a vital win. Well done boys.

Jul 17 U13A vs Southern Ettalong , Result: 8 - 0 Win
With no training for weeks because of the wet weather the Roos continued to play the good football we saw before the big wet. The team is building nicely for the big games ahead with team work and individual performances improving every week. There were some great team goals today which kept the crowd entertained against an Ettalong team that tried their hardest all game. Training Tuesday and Thursday till the season finishes.
Man of the match - The whole team - Keep up the good work. Great to see everybody playing with a smile on their face. |
Jul 03 U13A vs Kanwal , Result: 0 - 1 Loss
Our recent good form was put to the test today when we played Kanwal who are in top spot. In a close first half both teams had their chances but no one could score. The second half was evenly matched till Kanwal put together a great move that the Roos were powerless to stop. We are not far away from beating Kanwal but we need to concentrate for the entire match and train hard for the rest of the year. Thanks to Kevin and Ben for filling in. You did a great job.
Man of the match - Jayden - Worked trielessly to try and get us in a position to win the match. He was well supported by many other players today.

Jun 27 U13A vs Southern Ettalong , Result: 5 - 0 Win
Another strong performance from the Roos. The team work and confidence is sky high after some great passages of play in our last two matches. Everybody is doing their job and covering for others as well. It is great to see the passes going to Kincumber players and it is much easier to play when you control the ball. There was some great team goals today and our defence saved many dangerous opposition moves. The talk out on the field is good so lets keep it at this level. Well done boys. Thanks to Tommy and Kevin who are so keen to fill in and always do a great job. You are fitting into the team well.
Man of the match - Among a host of great performance the award this week goes to Boden. Two hat tricks in two games. What a great weekend of soccer.
Man of the match - Kane Elder - Showed his real ability over the weekend. Made a massive contribution on both days. We need this for the remainder of the year. |
Jun 26 U13A vs Woy Woy , Result: 6 - 1 Win
What a difference a week makes. The Roos were brilliant today and showed they are capable of big things in this competition. The passing and shooting was fabulous. In defense everybody worked hard and made it easy for each other. Keep up the great work. Last week I couldn't find a man of the match. This week it is only fair to give it to you all for this outstanding team effort. Great work Roos. |
Jun 20 U13A vs Kanwal , Result: 0 - 4 Loss
This was a much better performance. The score didn't reflect the effort and good play that the Roos displayed. There is still room for plenty of improvement so continue to train hard. Today it was so difficult to give the man of the match the whole team can have it for the great improvement in your game. Thanks to Tom Brown for filling in he was a great help. |
Jun 19 U13A vs Terrigal , Result: 1 - 6 Loss
This was not the best game of the year for the Roos. We were competitive early on but then the game got away from us. We all need to double our effort to improve. |
Jun 12 U13A vs Kariong , Result: 1 - 5 Loss
This was a disappointing game for an undermanned Roos team. Even with some players missing the effort in the first half was unsatisfactory. We need all players to improve quickly otherwise the dream of playing in the semi finals will be gone. It has been many weeks since we have seen anything special from the Roos and the time to start getting better is now. The second half was a much better performance, with players playing with a bit of pride. Train hard this week and we may get a win on the board. Thanks to all the younger boys who filled in for the team without them we would have been in bigger trouble.
Man of the match - Luke Wiseman - Luke ran for everything and tried to get the team going. He showed that in a well beaten team you can still stand out. |
May 22 U13A vs Woy Woy , Result: 1 - 2 Loss
The Roos gave their all today but unfortunately went down 2-1. Our passing was good in patches but needs to be more accurate for the entire game. On too many occassion we were to slow to make our decision and possession was lost. We need a big effort at training this week to prepare for next week.
Man of the match - Jake Charton - Had a great game in goals. Had to do plenty of work and did it brilliantly. |
May 15 U13A vs Terrigal , Result: 1 - 2 Loss
Terrigal came out firing and we had trouble matching them early. We came back in the latter part of the second half and the teams went to half time scoreless. The second half began much the same as the first with Terrigal having a lot of possession. We continue to give teams the ball with our inaccurate passing. It was only a matter of time till Terrigal scored, and then they scored again. The Roos fought hard and got one goal back before fulltime. We need to concentrate and work much harder if we are to improve. Thanks to Kevin Robertson for filling in. He added some spark up front when he went on.
Man of the match - Luke Rogers - Great game in his last appearance for the Roos. His crosses were brilliant and he made many great charges on the right side of the field. |
May 08 U13A vs Kariong , Result: 2 - 1 Win
It took a while for the Roos to get going in this game. It seemed like one of those days when the normal combinations were not working. Eventually Kariong made us pay for our sleepy start and scored the first goal of the match. The Roos replied with two goals but then had to work hard all the way till full time to secure victory against a very motivated Kariong team. There is still plenty of work to be done by all players to improve our team performance.
Man of the match - Tyler Smith - His best game of the year. He put in some accurate passes in a game where a lot of our passes were not finding there mark. He schemed and worked hard in the mid field to keep our attack on the boil, and ran back hard in defence. |
May 01 U13A vs Southern Ettalong , Result: 3 - 1 Win
The Roos played well in patches against a stubborn Southern team who never gave up for a second. When the passes worked we looked great. There is still plenty to work on at training so that as a team we can improve. Well done boys.
Man of the match - Mark Partridge - Had a great game at the back. His big boot got us out of trouble plenty of times. His passing was accurate and he made a massive contribution to our team effort today. Well done Mark. |
Apr 24 U13A vs Kanwal , Result: 2 - 3 Loss
This was a very competitive game. There wasn't much between the teams all game. The Roos did their best and were beaten by a very good Kanwal side. Well done boys on a great effort.
Man of the match - Jack Hardy - Was great in defense all game and set up some great play from the back. Congratulations Jack. |
Apr 17 U13A vs Woy Woy , Result: 3 - 2 Win
Woy Woy started the game with great speed and accuracy and had us under tonnes of pressure. This was converted into two goals and things didn't look good for the Roos at half time. After the break the Roos started to control the ball a bit better and scored two goals themselves to set up a great finish. After working hard as a team the third goal came our way to give the Roos a great come from behind victory against a dangerous Woy Woy team.
Man of the match - Jayden Hodgson - Great captains game. Worked hard to create chances for himself and others. Never stopped running in defense and scored two excellent goals. |
Apr 10 U13A vs Terrigal , Result: 1 - 1 Draw
This was a good game to start the year off with. We began with some great positive play and were unlucky not to score an early goal. The combinations are slowly being formed and with regular training these will only get better. The few chances that Terrigal did have were shut down by our eager defenders. Late in the first half we scored a goal to take the lead. The second half began much the same as the first with Kincumber attacking strongly. Terrigal produced a break away goal to tie the scores and that was the final score. A good first up performance with plenty of improvement in the weeks to come.
Man of the match- Lachlan Drake- He worked tirelessly in an unfamiliar position and did a great job for the team. He read the play well and set up plenty of attacking moves. |
