| May 15 U13D vs Ourimbah , Result: 1 - 1 Draw What an awesome match against a terrific Ourimbah Team. This was our best match of the year so far, well done everyone. All the parents thought everyone played really well and we are all very pleased at how everyone played. Maija had a really strong game playing in the mid-field, made lots of great kicks and tackles and was the player of the match. Matt, Luca, Jared, Sam and Dylan all had strong games up front, and put great pressure on the opposition. The kick-off have improved a lot, well done. A bit more controlled passing near the opposition goal mouth would make a big difference. Jesse and Emma both had a fantastic games on the wing and made some really great runs. Clancy, Maija and Emily did really well in mid- field, Emily made one of the biggest kicks on the day, well done. Jordan, Drew and Ryan were great in defence and reallly tightened up the defence in the second half with some great steals and tackles. Clancy and Dylan had tough jobs in the goals and need to practice their goals kicks to clear the attackers. Everyone ran the best they could and with some more practice like at last weeks training we will improve very fast. Coach Doug |
| May 08 U13D vs East Gosford , Result: 0 - 8 Loss A strong match against a very competitive East Gosford team. Emma had a really strong game playing in the mid-field and was the player of the match. Matt, Luca and Jared all had strong games up front, and put pressure on the opposition in the first 30 minutes. We need to practice our kickoffs to get the ball into the opposition half quickly. Jesse had a good game on the wing and made some really great runs. Maija played on the wing also and made some good runs. Ryan, Clancy, Dylan and Sam went well in the mid-field. Jordan and Drew were good in defence also. Clancy and Sam had tough jobs in the goals and came under a lot of pressure. We need to be aware of where our opposition players are standing so we can mark them better. Everyone ran the best they could and with some more practice and some better fitness we can easily be a better team. Coach Doug |
