bit of a struggle for coach to get up for 8am kick off but boys up and ready for more fun no matter the hour. once again boys played well. a very determined avoca team defend grimly on the goal with our boys struggling to make headway. half time talk- go around the defence by passing. worked a treat with ben passing from with and eddy finishing brilliantly.sam tried a few passes although not his game. matt had a good run but found school mate on the other side a good chat .talley woke up better than coach and tried his hardest.man of match ronan ran all macth often turning the avoca team around when they made a break .well done boys |

coach and parents very please and impressed today that everyone in the team turned up to run today .best performance yet.once again ben lead from the front.eddy after his 1st goal last week added another 1.matt had a long range shot and 1st goal denied by great defence by the opposition. sam powered his was thru the middle .speedy ronan up the wings and talley having an absolute ball dribbling ball in from the kick ins |
Apr 17 U6-11 vs Terrigal 6-2 , Result: 0 - 0 Win
the boys have settled into training with a bit of encouragement and focus with jelly snakes. this has shown with the boys starting to understand the refs calls on field and where they need to be at restarts.Missing ronan today sick. early start didnt faze the older boys but young Talley had to be subbed early after 30 secs and couldnt seem to find the will to go back on. once again ben and sam led from the front.Ben meant business today and scored 2 goals inthe 1st halffrom great running and chasing.while sam struggled to get the ball of ben and settled into more backup role. 2nd half matt and eddy insisted in kicking the ball to each other off set plays- great that they r bonding.Sam score a great individual goal that prompted a discussion with ben, while the opposition ran the length of the field to score at the otherend matt and eddy defending in vain. ben scored his 3rd then Eddy got in the mix with a gret long kick that trickled in goal. his 1st and man o match effort. great game by . all boys |

after a trial match that had a nervous coach and win of about we not quite sure what to expect at our 1st game of the season. the team has a mixture of characters . 3 boys that are really switched on to soccer and 3 that with a little encouragement will give the ball a boot, if they are not distracting the opposition talking.
with parents literally on the side line with young speedster Ronan setting a cracking pace against tough terrigal side.young talley in awe of his 1st game and playing up an age,needing an early break and inspiration from mum and dad and more energy in the form of a jelly snake.Ben , a quiet start but it seems to be his way until he gains momentum. Eddy showing a few spirited runs. a good goal with by Ronan . subs on field sam and matt.sam one of our bigger kids to over from ronan and score 3 goals from persistant chasing.young matt keen to keep coach dad company on field .terrigal hit back with a few goals bec of poor interchange by coach. late in game ben scored and showed hes not to be forgoten and make sure of win . good game. boys good fun. man o match sam who showed he also has a passing game at this age. |
