Aug 21 U6-5 vs Avoca U6-10 , Result: 0 - 0 Draw This was the first week in I can’t remember how long that Phoenix and I came home with not a dob of mud on our boots. What a spectacular morning at Frost with the glorious sun shining down on us (although the wind was a tad cold and reminded us that we are still in winter). Aidan was unwell and therefore we had no wonderful Aidan or super coach Ben. Unfortunately, this also meant that we didn’t have an encouragement award to hand out to Harrison. Luckily all of the team have now received 2 awards each, so at least that will now be fair for all of our outstanding players because they have all improved so very much throughout the season and all deserve to win this prestigious award every week. Thank you so much to Jenny, our step in fantastic Coach, who herself was not feeling well either, but luckily for the rest of us Jenny knows the rules and does a wonderful job with all of the kids. Also, lucky for us was that Amber allowed superstar Tyne to stay back and play a 2nd game with us so we weren’t short. Thank you so much Amber and Tyne, we really appreciate your help and dedication. Tyne was involved in some huge and powerful kicks against Avoca and at one stage, there was so much power that I thought the ball was going to explode. Tyne was so so close to scoring so many times and showed us what a great team player he is when he set up a goal for Phoenix to finish off. Phoenix did score a goal today thanks to the great work of Tyne setting it up and was his ever eager self, constantly running at full speed and having a great time. Tomas also scored a goal (well we are all counting it anyway). As the ball was powering to the nets (with no one else in the way) the Referee got in the way and the ball just went out to the side. As you know, Tomas is our energiser bunny who never stops and is always in amongst the action. Ryan made two spectacular saves today, both of which he kicked out of the net just as the ball was heading in. Very nail biting and exciting stuff.......great work Ryan. Our beautiful little girl Hayley was eager and raring to go and was even asking when it was her time to go back on. Hayley’s kicks and enthusiasm have improved out of sight. Keep up the good work Hayley girl. Harrison, you are on fire......you must have had nutella again for breakfast this morning because you were just everywhere kicking and kicking and kicking and running and running and running. You also made a very impressive save and stopped a goal going in. Karen was the designated Mum for the vest, award, milky ways and oranges, but our brilliant time keeping Dad Darren had the pleasure of handing out the goodies today. Next week is our last game of the season (boo hoo, it’s all over for another year) and although Gennine was our very first Mum to supply the goodies, she also has the pleasure of being our lucky last Mum. This will be my last soccer blog for 2010 as I won’t be at the game next weekend, but I just want to say a huge thank you to our wonderful parents and players (listed below): 1. Harrison – Jason (our stand in coach) & Rebecca 2. Ryan – Mark & Jenny (our stand in coach) 3. Hayley – Darren (our time keeper) & Karen 4. Aidan – Ben (our official coach) & Natalie 5. Tomas – Jono & Gennine (our official manager and my best ever helpers, thank you so much guys, Phoenix and I could never do this without you) 6. Phoenix – Terry & Lisa (the official blog writer) Don’t forget that presentation day is on Sunday 12th September at Frost Reserve at 10:30am. See you all there for a fun filled day and GO Kincumber Roos U6/5, GO - you guys are the best!
Aug 07 U6-5 vs Terrigal U6-15 , Result: 0 - 0 Loss Well what a morning Frost Reserve put on for us today - PERFECT. Gum boots where an option today, as were open toe shoes & heels (for the ladies)would have been the footwear of the day. Our usual roving reporter Lisa was away so the B Team are on duty for match report today. Talking about myself not you Terry as Terry made all the notes & I will put it together so lets get on with it. Ryan in the opening minutes saved what would have been Terrigal's first goal of the day and then he saved another goal taking on 3 Terrigal players all by himself. Ryan made fantastic strong tackles & couldn't help himself while on a sub. Sitting in his chair, Ryan jumped up & kicked the ball back into play & then him & the ball headed for the goal just to keep the game alive. What else could he have done - the ball was heading straight for him. Our girl power Hayley had a great game & anticipated the play with good positioning on the field & was very strong in supporting all of the boys with some great passing. Maybe her hair clips where in the right position. We seem to always have a head clash in the game & that goes to Aidan & Phoenix today, but no stopping these boys. As Aidan restarts with a kick that nearly made the next field he chases & chases, never taking his eye off the ball - another fantastic game Aidan. The team was looking to pass, Harrison is there again, marking his man again, he is having a strong forward game not letting anybody stand in the way of him getting that ball down our end to the goal. Another Nutella breakfast hey, for our future CC Mariner Harrison who had another outstanding game. Phoenix was close to scoring so many goals today, his kicking is powerful, he tackles & blocks the goal & with Dad watching, he played an outstanding game - GO PJ GO. Well Tommy another memorable game(for me your biggest fan)you were excellent in defense & making strong tackles all game. Making breaks & running & running. Anticipating Terrigal's moves & going straight to the goal to block them out. You were the award winner this week, congratulations well done. Thanks to Terry for oranges & milky ways & wearing the fluro fashion accessory. No ref today so a big thanks to Ben for taking on the job, although he declined to take the refs money. Thanks to Darren for subbing. Thanks to Bec for buying nutella and a big thanks to Jenny for her sideline coaching. This girl is good, real good. And thanks to me for keeping Lukey off the field. After all that, Phoenix, Aidan & Tomas played a second game for another Kincumber team who were short of players. It will be an early night to bed. We have a bye of all things next week, so see you all at training.
Jul 31 U6-5 vs Terrigal U6-10 , Result: 0 - 0 Bye Although the morning ended up in spectacular sunshine, the unrelenting rain that we had all week closed Frost for our game against Terrigal U6-10. It was my turn for the milky ways, oranges, handing out the encouragement award and wearing my favourite fluro vest and I was sooooo disappointed as I know the kids were on missing out on their soccer game. But don’t worry, it will still be my turn next week although unfortunately I won’t be there, so I guess Phoenix’s good old Dad will have the pleasure of all of this fun. Don’t forget we have soccer team photos at Kincumber Public School Hall at 9am on the 7th August, and then the game at Frost at 10:20am. Please remember your photo envelope and that the kids are to be in full soccer uniform, including boots for the photo. The photos will go ahead in rain, hail or shine, so if it is raining, please still get to the school by 9am. And Gennine our wonderful Manager and Ben our fantastic Coach also get to have their big beautiful smiles in the photo – you two are just so lucky!!!! We have a Bye on the 14th August, so our next game following this one will be on 21st August.
Jul 24 U6-5 vs Kincumber U6-10 , Result: 0 - 0 Loss Well we had another beautiful sunny day at down town Frost Reserve playing against another great Kincumber Roos team, U6-10, although the stinky mud was ever present. I am so happy I have my gum boots and I think some of the other Mum’s might even reconsider this stylish accessory. Bec was our lucky Mum this week to wear the vest (although I don’t recall Bec wearing the vest, which I am sure she was devastated about), hand out the ever so popular milky ways (and even I got one this week and now know why the kids get so excited because they are awfully yummy) and present the encouragement award to our ever improving Aidan. Aidan’s kicks are just huge and although none of our guys scored, Aidan was sooooo close to some very impressive goals. Aidan is thoroughly enjoying his soccer now and is constantly amongst the action. Congratulations Aidan. It was great to have Tomas back with the team and as usual, Tomas always gives 110% and works relentlessly on attacking and defending. Tomas did an amazing block in the goals where he hit heads with the opposition and was in excruciating pain, but hey……..he successfully saved the goal. Ryan who is our usual injury suspect had a great game and came away safe and sound, which was great to see. Ryan did some fantastic passing, kicking and was always running hard supporting his team mates. Hayley was ever so eager to play and thoroughly enjoys herself when she gets on the field. Hayley did an incredible block that I think even astounded her, and her kick offs continue to improve. Phoenix wanted to show his Dad and Nan who came for the first time this season how ‘on fire’ he is and how much he has improved, and boy did he do a great job of that. Although Phoenix wanted to score a goal (or many), he wasn’t successful but he was so so close on many occasions. Phoenix is on fire and just super fast and runs like the wind. And Mr Harrison, I had to ask your Mum what you had for breakfast because you were more than on fire mate, you were piping hot. You played the best game I have ever seen, constantly amongst the action, kicking, tackling and blocking with such enthusiasm. And you were millimetres away from scoring your first goal of the season and the opposition only just kicked your ball out of the net at the last second. Once again, congratulations our beautiful U6-5’s, you are the best. I would also like to thank Jenny for her professional advice and side line coaching of the kids as our wonderful coach, Ben was so busy being the referee. Please remember on Saturday 7th August we have our team photos at Kincumber Public School in their hall at 9:10am and must arrive 10 minutes early. Therefore, we will see you all there at 9am. Also, something for your diaries is our presentation day which is Sunday 12th September. Further details to come.
Jul 17 U6-5 vs Terrigal U6-5 , Result: 0 - 0 Loss I must say I was in panic mode when I heard both Tomas and Aidan were going to be away as there goes our Manager and Coach in one foul hit, but I was ever so grateful that Gennine came down with Lukey to help us out and Jason took on the role as Coach. Thanks Gennine for coming when you didn’t have to and thanks for bringing Lukey for my weekly kiss and hug (even though I have to bribe him with chuppa chups from time to time). And thank you Jason for changing your plans to be our coach today. I also need to thank Jenny who was willing and most able to be our stand in coach if needed and thank you for your professional advice and tips to the team (at least there are some of us that know the rules – not me though). Jenny was also our lucky Mum to wear the fluro vest (yes, it was back out of moth balls this week), provide the oranges (which were completely peeled and yummy – much more organised than the rest of us), hand out the ever popular milky ways and present the encouragement award. Hayley was the star this week and was deservingly presented with the encouragement award. Hayley did a fantastic kick in and her running and chasing was unreal. Hayley had the ball on the run and was so close to taking it to the nets (although it was in the other direction, Hayley still played a great game). We were so lucky to have Tyne and Owen step in for our 2 missing super stars Tomas and Aidan and what a wonderful job the boys did for us. They are both brilliant players that work so well together and show us what passing and being a team player is all about. Thank you so much Amber and Emma for staying back after your game and having your boys play for us. And an extra special thank you to Tyne who scored 2 impressive goals for us. Thank you also to Gennine for buying both boys a lollie bag as a thank you for their assistance and please let us know how much this cost so the whole team can chip in for the thanks without you being out of pocket. Ryan is our ‘Mr Accident Prone’ (there is one in every family and obviously one in every soccer team), took a huge kick in his shin which obviously hurt big time, but after a quick couple of seconds to compose himself and as per typical Ryan style, Ryan was back up ready and rearing to go in no time at all. Ryan did some great kicking, tackling and followed the action where ever it went. Ryan is also another unreal team player passing the ball to other team mates. Harrison and Phoenix both had incredible games also. There were some pretty big personalities in the Terrigal team and our own and Harrison still pushed on and was in amongst the action on many occasions and he had a fantastic run with Tyne at one stage and I thought may have even scored a goal. And boy, can Harrison run…….he just amazes me. And Mr Phoenix scored a goal today too, great work my boy, you have ‘got it’ now and are on fire and just improve all the time. Actually, you are all great players and improve week in, week out. It will definitely be very sad when the season is over as we only have 5 games left……..boo, hoo. See you all same time, same place next week.
Jul 03 U6-5 vs East Gosford U6-5 , Result: 0 - 0 Loss What a beautiful morning as we played East Gosford U6-5 at Hylton Moore Oval (although the wind was very icy). Tomas was a lucky duck and away on holidays and probably had a lovely sleep in (I wish I did), and although we missed our energiser bunny, our team played so so well. They just get better and better every week and are improving out of sight. I think Harrison has been on the same juice as Aidan because I have never seen him constantly in amongst the action as he was today. Harrison was so close to scoring a goal, but unfortunately tripped over. Harrison also made some amazing saves, one memorable one from the sideline and the other where he ran like the wind (as usual) to try and stop the opposition scoring and he was running so very fast that he even had trouble stopping himself and ran straight into the net. Keep up the great work Harrison. Hayley was again so enthusiastic to be on the field and reluctant to even come off for a rest. Hayley did some wonderful kick offs and showed us her great team work by kicking to her team mates. Aidan, you are on fire mate. Your kicks are just so powerful and so amazing and your tackling and stealing the ball is out of sight. You were so so close to scoring a goal from your kick off on the sideline and it was so exciting to see you score your first goal of the season from your half way kick off. Congratulations Aidan, you so deserved a goal. I was so glad to see there was no mud today as Phoenix was back to his usual self and gave it his best. Phoenix also scored a great goal and is improving with every game. Good on you my baby boy, I am so proud. Ryan and Phoenix showed us their great team work with passing the ball to each other. Ryan also copped another hit to his privates, but in typical Ryan super brave style he just kept on going. Ryan chased and ran the whole game and always gives it his all. Natalie (AKA our super duper coach, Ben) was the lucky parent to provide the ever popular oranges, milky ways and encouragement award. Phoenix was our lucky player today to earn the encouragement award, but I know every single team member deserves this award. Congratulations our next David Beckham’s you are all great and I am proud of you all. Now don’t forget we have no training next week on the 6th and no game on the 10th, but we will see you all at training the following week on the 13th. Also, lucky duck Tomas will be away for our next game on the 17th as well. Hope you all enjoy your school holidays break and see you soon.
Jun 26 U6-5 vs Avoca U6-5 , Result: 0 - 0 Win Well the sun may have been shining but what a quagmire the grounds were. Some of the kids reveled in the filth and performed like champions, while others were like little princesses afraid of a little mud. Gennine was the lucky Mum to hand out the awards, milky ways and supply the super charged oranges. I must say, even Gennine our wonderful Manager forgot to bring and wear the stylish fluro vest (Natalie is our lucky Mum next week). Our Hayley girl was a little late arriving to the game, so lucky for us, we had Tyne step in as our sub and what a star Tyne is. Tyne was super last year and just improves each and every game. Tyne is a true professional and I bet we see him bending it like Beckham in the not too distant future. Thank you to Tyne for scoring ALL of our goals, and thank you to Amber for hanging around and allowing Tyne to join his old soccer buddies. We had 2 outstanding players rewarded with the encouragement award today and that Ryan and Tyne. Ryan had another fantastic game and braved the mud like a real trooper. Even when Ryan copped an eye full of mud, he never stopped. Ryan just wiped it away and kept on running. And Tyne Spencer, well mate, what can I say......you are just so gifted and talented and the best little player. Keep up the good work boys. Aidan showed us yet again how practice makes perfect because Aidan is just on fire. Aidan once again did some great kicking and running and set up an excellent goal for Tyne to score. Good team work boys. Hayley is another one that must be practicing because she is so enthusiastic to get on that field and have a run and show the boys what she is made of. Go our Hayley girl, go. Tomas loves his soccer soooooo much and is so sad when he has to be called off to have a breather. Tomas just never stops and where ever that ball is, Tomas will be right there. And what great saves Tomas makes week in and week out. Tomas never lets us down there and he was so eager to save a goal today that he even fell over the nets.......but hey, he succeeded in the terrific save, so congratulations Tomas. Harrison is so easy going and is happy on or off the field, but when he gets a run, he never stops and his little legs just go and go and go. And Harrison was so so so close in scoring his first goal of the season. Keep trying mate, you will get there. Mr Phoenix, I don’t know whether you truly weren’t feeling well or whether you were one of those little princesses afraid of a little mud (just like your Mum). But when you first got on that field, you were on fire and ran like the wind and showed some of your amazing kicks before you had to be sidelined. Hopefully this beautiful sunny weather will continue and totally dry out the fields so we can all have a nice, fast and interactive game next week......now don’t forget that our energiser bunny, super saver Tomas won’t be with us next week.
Jun 19 U6-5 vs Gosford U6-3 , Result: 0 - 0 Loss Although it was freezing and the ground a tad muddy, what a lovely sunny morning we had at Gavenlock Oval playing against Gosford U6-3 (red and white). I don’t know whether the spell had our guys extra enthusiastic, but they were all on fire today. Even after Hayley copped a top speed ball into her stomach and poor Ryan copped one in his you know where, both of them never gave up and just kept on playing………you two guys are just so tough and dedicated. Ryan loves his soccer and always enjoys getting amongst it. Hayley was waiting and raring to go on the sideline each and every time today and did some great kicks. I don’t know what Coach Ben has been teaching Aidan, but wow, wow, wow. I have never seen Aidan looking so very professional and where ever the action was, Aidan was there and was sooooo close to scoring a goal. And what fantastic kicks Aidan, you had a super game today. I know I have said it before, but Harrison is our little pocket rocket and just runs like the wind. Harrison loves to run around with the team and also showed us how well his kicking has come along this season. Keep up the great work Harrison. It was Karen (the last of the Mum’s) turn to wear the vest, provide the oranges and milky ways and hand out the award. As Gennine was not feeling well this week, there was no vest for Karen to wear and I know Karen was just as disappointed as I was when I missed out wearing that stunning fashion accessory. And the award this week was won by no other than our special little pocket rocket, Harrison. Congratulations Harrison. Our 2 goal scorers were Phoenix who was lucky enough to score twice and Tomas. Phoenix also did another great save and just as the opposition’s ball was going into the nets, Phoenix kicked it out. Tomas never stops, gives up or has a rest and is always chasing chasing chasing the action. Phoenix must have had an extra boost after scoring his goal and was always amongst the action today as well. Well our beautiful and ever so talented U6-5 Roo’s, you were all on fire and had a super duper game today, but I must say I think we were all happy to go home at the end of the game as I know my toes and feet were numb and frozen. Hopefully next week with our later start time, the sun would have warmed up the oval for us. See you all then.
Jun 05 U6-5 vs Kincumber U6-6 , Result: 0 - 0 Loss We were supposed to be at Erina High competing against Avoca U6-10, but the past 3 weeks of rain have seen all Central Coast fields closed. Thanks to Martin Boland, all Kincumber Roos were able to play an indoor game at Gosford. We competed against Kincumber U6-6 and what a great little team they are too. Yes, it was my (Lisa’s) turn today to wear the fluro vest, give out the encouragement award and hand out the milky ways. Unfortunately, Gennine didn’t attend the game and forgot to give Jono the vest………I was most disappointed I can tell you, but I know I will at least get one more turn this season. It looks like the lucky last Mum to take on this role will be Karen and then the round can start again. The indoor centre was great and the field was huge. All 6 players were on the field and as there was no ‘out’ the kids just ran and ran and ran (hopefully they will all sleep well tonight). It was the fastest and most interactive game I have ever seen and I know I would have struggled keeping up with all of that energy and enthusiasm. Harrison, our little pocket rocket followed the ball where ever it went and is such a super fast runner. Phoenix did some amazing kicks again and just missed a goal when the ball hammered the goal post and flew back to the half way mark. Phoenix’s new little trick of kicking the ball backwards with his heel is astounding and works well…….not sure if it would be legal though. Aidan had a great game and made some wonderful stops and even kicked the ball out between the legs of his opponent. Hayley and Ryan pulled the goals on top of them and were like 2 fish caught in a net until our referee freed them. Ryan showed his beautiful caring side and stopped to check on an opponent who had fallen over. Ryan scored an impressive goal, but unfortunately the referee didn’t change direction after half time, so the point was awarded to the other side……congratulations Ryan all the same. Our Hayley girl, you stuck it out all game and followed the ball and you also made some great stops. You are definitely our best goalie. Last, but definitely not least, our energiser bunny Tomas who just never stops and runs and runs and runs and is always in amongst the action and gives 110%. Tomas was our only lucky goal scorer today and definitely deservingly won the encouragement award. Congratulations Tomas, you are fantastic. Hopefully the rain will abate in the next 2 weeks so we can get back to normal training and outdoor games. Don't forget next Saturday, 12th June is the long weekend and there is no game. See you all at training or on the 19th.
May 29 U6-5 vs , Result: 0 - 0 Bye Well this was our second weekend with no game as we had a bye......how sad and disappointing. I hope after the spell the team will be ready and raring to go, especially as they will all probably be half asleep (I know I will be) because of the super early start next weekend. Once again, hope you all enjoyed your sleep in today and day of rest and relaxation. See you all next week.
May 22 U6-5 vs Terrigal U6-15 , Result: 0 - 0 Bye Ohhhhh........how disappointing. We were all raring to go and have another great game, but the rain was just unrelenting and on Friday night we were advised that Duffys Oval, Terrigal was closed. Not only was the team disappointed by not being able to have a run, but I was so so so disappointed as it was my turn to wear the fluro vest, take the oranges, give out the encouragement award and hand out the milky way’s and I was so looking forward to it. I guess I will just have to bide my time until our next game. Now don’t forget that we have a bye next Saturday, 29th May, so our next game will be on Saturday, 5th June, and oh yuk, what an early one too. Hope you all enjoyed your sleep in and relaxing day.
May 15 U6-5 vs Terrigal U6-10 , Result: 0 - 0 Loss Another sunny day in down town Terrigal, where we played Terrigal U6-10 at Duffys Oval. Bec was the lucky duck to wear the vest, provide the milky ways and hand out the players encouragement award....thanks Bec. Gennine also had a great idea of providing oranges at half time to give the kids the extra energy they needed for the 2nd half. After the boys performance, I think this will be a regular. Our little girl, Miss Hayley was sick and we missed her so much, so I hope she is all better and raring to go next week when we play Terrigal yet again. In Hayley’s absence we were lucky enough to have Tyne step in for us and it was great to see some of the ‘old boys’ from last year playing together again. Thanks Tyne and thanks Amber for letting Tyne join the team. Phoenix was lucky enough to score his second goal of the season thanks to a perfect set up by Tomas.....great team work guys. And Phoenix made a great save just as Terrigal’s ball was rolling in to the goal. Phoenix came from the side and kicked the ball out....I think Phoenix was as shocked as anyone. Poor Aidan and Ryan clashed heads and had to come off for a spell, but luckily they are 2 tough cookies and recovered very quickly. Ryan puts so much effort into his game and is all over the field following the action and getting amongst it. Aidan is improving every week (must be that his Dad is our great coach) and although he suffered his head clash and hurt his finger, he never gave up and keep on trying his best for his team. Aidan also deservingly won the players encouragement award this week......congratulations Aidan. Tomas is just like a little machine that never stops and is always in amongst the action, and I must say, he gets quite sad when he even has to come off to have a rest. Harrison is our little pocket rocket and although he is our smallest player, once he gets started he runs like the wind.
May 08 U6-5 vs Kincumber U6-10 , Result: 0 - 0 Loss What a beautiful sunny morning we had for our game against Kincumber U6-10. What great players all of our Roos are. Jenny was the lucky contestant this week to wear the stylish yellow vest and take pleasure in rewarding our team with their favourite milky ways (I’m sure that’s the highlight of the game for most of our players). Not one, but two outstanding players were rewarded with the encouragement award this week. They were Ryan and Hayley. Congratulations guys, you are both improving every week and are having so much fun. Ryan did some unreal kicking and running and the ball was headed straight for the goal but just bounced off the side – ohhhh, it was so close Ryan. Hayley is getting more into it each week (don’t let all of those boys hold you back Hayley, girl power remember). Hayley was right in amongst the action and had a fall, but jumped straight back up and showed us how well she can kick. Aidan was another injured player and hurt his leg, but after a short spell came back onto the field in fine form – kicking, running and giving his all. Tomas was our champion today, scoring 2 goals and made an amazing save jumping in front of the opposition’s goal at the last second. Harrison ran like the wind and was so so close to scoring his first goal of the season as the ball just touched the side of the goals – keep up the great work Harrison. And Mr Phoenix, your kicks are amazing and you are now kicking and chasing like a professional. Congratulations team, pat yourselves on the back for another great game and see you next week.
May 01 U6-5 vs Terrigal U6-5 , Result: 0 - 0 Loss The rain was looming all morning, but by the time our 2pm game came around, the sun was breaking through and it was a lovely afternoon at Duffys Oval. We played Terrigal (black, white and orange). Once again, it was a fun filled game for our guys who were full of enthusiasm, energy and were all getting in amongst the action. Natalie was the lucky parent to wear the fluro vest this week (I can’t wait for my turn) and took great pleasure in handing out the milky ways to the eager players and their siblings and presenting Phoenix Carroll with the encouragement award. Phoenix played a great game and scored his first goal for the season with 2 other very close calls (just hitting the top of the goals and on another occasion hitting the side of the goals). Tomas also scored his first goal of the season and we all know what that does for Tomas……he will be extra enthusiastic and on fire in our next game to be able to score again. Congratulations Tomas. Harrison, Aidan, Ryan and Hayley all ran like champions and did some great kicking. You are a great team and play so well together. And hooray for Ben, our wonderful coach who is doing a fantastic job. After a year and a half Ben has successfully taught Phoenix to kick and chase in only a few short weeks. Thank you Ben for your time and effort in training the kids, we all appreciate it and can see the improvement already……you are doing a great job.
Apr 17 U6-5 vs East Gosford U6-5 , Result: 0 - 0 Loss We had a full team this week and what a difference playing 4 a side and having a rest made. The team played so well and the score does not do justice to their enthusiasm and efforts. We played against East Gosford (green and white) at a much more reasonable time of 10am at Frost Reserve. All the guys tried so hard and were in amongst the action. Harrison had an extra special game and showed us how great he can kick and chase that soccer ball (go Harrison go). Congratulations to Harrison who deservingly won the award this week. Gennine was our official this week, modeling our beautiful and fashionable fluro vest (now don't be jealous everyone, as we will all get a turn at this) and therefore Gennine gave out the award and also supplied the yummy milky ways......thanks Gennine. Now don't forget there is no soccer next week (due to Anzac day long weekend), so our next game is on 1st May.
Apr 10 U6-5 vs Avoca U6-5 , Result: 0 - 0 Loss Our team was down one player with Tomas being away for the school holidays, so we played 5 a side against Avoca (blue and white) at Erina High School. The first half everyone was full of enthusiasm and excitement (although it was a very early 8am start), but by the 2nd half our guys were weary without having a break. Ryan scored our one and only goal (whoo hoo Ryan), but they had a great time and lots of fun and that's what it is all about. Congratulations guys on your first official game.
