Aug 14 U9E vs Terrigal 9e - 1 , Result: 3 - 0 Win
A very hard fought game that was not decided until the last 8 minutes of the 2nd half. Our boys and girls began well, with several good raids down the left wing by Jarrod, providing crosses for Isaac and Carinya, who were unlucky not to score.
Terrigal then began to get into their stride and our backs and halves were hard pressed to keep them in check. Strong play by Ethan at centre back, Ryan at centre half and Declan in goals combined to keep Terrigal scoreless, despite some very determined attacking. Late in the first half Jarrod made a strong run down the right wing, against the run of play and was able to slot a goal past the Terrigal keeper to allow us to take a 1 goal lead to the break.
The kids were all very tired at half time, but determined to win.
Terrigal continued to attack strongly and were denied numerous times by the sterling defence of Alex and Ethan. The match remained precariously poised until late in the 2nd half, when Ryan went into goals and Declan came out into centre half. Declan's fresh legs added more bite to our attack and with 5 minutes to go Isaac pounced on a loose ball in the box and knocked our 2nd goal. Terrigal were not yet downhearted and continued to press their attack. Excellent defence by Alex saw their last shot pushed from a long way out and goalie Ryan was easily able to save. From the goal kick Declan collected the ball and drove a strong shot past the Terrigal defence for the winner.

Jul 24 U9E vs Terrigal 9e - 2 , Result: 4 - 1 Win
Very early game on a very wet field. Player of the match Isaac Kastelan woke the opposition up with a goal straight from the kickoff, in the first 30 seconds. Well done to the whole team for another strong performance. |
Jul 17 U9E vs Kariong 9e , Result: 10 - 0 Win
Kariong girls side was no match for our improving team. Goal scorers were Isaac Kastelan (3), Jarrod Sloan (3) and Declan Holmes (4). Near misses were had by player of the match Carinya White and Alex McMartin. |
Jun 26 U9E vs Gosford 9e , Result: 4 - 1 Win
A good 'scrap' of a game on a field reduced in size due to the mud. This also made for some spectacular shots on goal with the ball skidding off the wet grass. Goals were scored by Declan (2), Jarrod (1) and the clincher by player of the match Isaac. Some excellent work also by Carinya, Ethan and Ryan, in what was another win by a great 'team effort', where everybody contributed something. |
Jun 19 U9E vs Terrigal 9e1 , Result: 1 - 0 Win
After losing 3 - 1 to this side earlier in the season, the Kinroos 9e's were pumped up to even the score. From the first whistle our boys and girls attacked relentlessly, resulting in a goal to Isaac Kastelan in the 4th minute. Karinya White was also unlucky not to have a goal about 5 minutes later. In the 2nd quarter of the match Terrigal began to get into their stride and the pressure was then strongly applied to our backs and goal keeper, who did an excellent job keeping Terrigal scoreless going into half time. The 2nd half was a hard fought, seasawing affair with breaks by both sides, but neither side able to find the net. A fantastic save by player of the match, goalie Ryan Woods, was a highlight. By the final whistle the score remained 1 - 0 to Kincumber, though it was an excellent and entertaining game by both sides. |
